Three Suites. Three Distinct Experiences.

All three guest suites at The Adams Pragge House occupy the second floor of our 1889 Victorian home and share the same foundation: a queen bed with fine linens, a private en suite bathroom with marble tile, a propane fireplace, ceiling fan, portable air conditioning, electric space heater, and two generous kimono-style spa robes. A three-course breakfast is included each morning.

Within that shared foundation, each suite has its own character, orientation, and sensibility. The differences are meaningful — particularly if you are choosing based on light, views, bathing preference, or privacy.

Olympia — Light, Views, and the Heart of the House

333 sq ft · West-/southwest-facing · Nine windows · Clawfoot tub with shower conversion

The Olympia occupies the turret of the house, with nine functional Victorian windows and a west-.southwest-facing outlook over the garden, the Old World ironwork fence, and the surrounding historic neighborhood. Of the three suites, it receives the most light and offers the most deliberately outward-facing experience — parlor chairs placed at the turret windows, and angled toward the southwest garden view. It features a majestic four-poster Queen bed, an empire swan chaise, and long afternoon light that builds toward sunset.

The bathroom features a classic clawfoot tub with hand-held sprayer and shower conversion.

Olympia is a double-occupancy suite and does not accommodate a third guest.

Best for: Guests who want to feel the full character of a Victorian tower room — light, views, and the pleasure of watching the neighborhood move through the day.

Victoria — Heritage, Craft, and a Bed With a Story

323 sq ft · East/southeast-facing · Shower · Sunrise light

The Victoria suite is oriented around one of the most remarkable objects in the house: an antique half-tester bed with provenance from Queen Victoria’s Balmoral Castle. The suite is arranged to let this piece define the room — and it does. An antique armoire, a dresser-turned-vanity with sink in the bathroom, and carefully chosen furnishings complete an interior that rewards attention to craft and detail.

East-facing, Victoria receives the earliest light of the three suites. On a clear morning, Mount Rainier is visible in the distance. The suite turns inward more than it turns outward — the sofa and sitting area are oriented toward the room’s interior beauty rather than the windows — which suits guests who come primarily for the house itself.

The bathroom features a walk-in shower with a low threshold.

Victoria is a double-occupancy suite and does not accommodate a third guest.

Best for: Guests who appreciate historic provenance, fine antiques, and a suite that reveals its character gradually rather than all at once.

Cascadia — Privacy, Sanctuary, and the Best Bathroom in the House

338 sq ft · North/northeast-facing · Clawfoot tub and walk-in shower · Most private suite

The Cascadia suite is located at the back of the house, at the end of the hall — the quietest position on the floor, with no guest foot traffic passing the door. It is the most self-contained of the three suites, and the most suited to guests who want to genuinely retreat.

The suite is anchored by a striking Renaissance Revival burled walnut bed and includes a separate seating area with a plantation-style reclining chair and ottoman — the kind of furniture that makes an afternoon disappear. The bathroom is the most complete of the three, with both a clawfoot soaking tub and a separate walk-in shower, alongside an original marble sink that has been part of the house since 1889.

North-facing, Cascadia is the most temperately consistent suite across the seasons. It stays cool naturally in summer and rarely requires air conditioning except during Port Townsend’s warmest weeks. The outlook across the back of the property extends toward Admiralty Inlet and Whidbey Island, with the North Cascades visible on clear days.

A rollaway bed is available in the Cascadia suite for accompanying youth guests (ages 13–17). Maximum adult occupancy is two.

Best for: Guests seeking genuine privacy, a restorative atmosphere, and the pleasure of both a soaking tub and a walk-in shower.
